Lean Production is a method designed to optimize manufacturing processes, improve production efficiency, and reduce costs. As market competition intensifies, more and more companies are adopting Lean Production to improve their competitiveness.
Since its founding in 1999, Zhongshi has earned the trust and recognition of over 5,000 customers for its uncompromising commitment to product quality and attentive customer service, becoming the designated supplier of solder materials for national aerospace and military units. In recent years, as customer demands have continued to increase, Zhongshi has aligned with them, continuously exploring ways to optimize our manufacturing processes to provide even better products and services.
The core concept of lean production is to "eliminate all waste caused by defective products" by eliminating production links that cause quality problems, based on high-quality management throughout the entire process, pursuing zero defects and making continuous improvements on the existing basis. This is in line with Zhongshi's quality service concept.
In March this year, at the invitation of Zhongshi, Mr. Qin, a senior consultant with decades of experience in lean production management and who has served many state-owned enterprises, foreign enterprises and private enterprises, came to Zhongshi and tailored a comprehensive lean production improvement plan for Zhongshi.
Before formulating the plan, we conducted a value stream analysis, comprehensively sorted out the entire manufacturing process, and identified the bottlenecks in each link.
Then, in order to shorten product delivery cycle, reduce product manufacturing costs, and improve product quality and production efficiency, we developed plans to improve production processes, eliminate waste, optimize layout, and improve employee skills, and embarked on continuous improvement work.
Customer service is a core element of a manufacturing company, and improving customer satisfaction is a key component of our improvement efforts. By communicating with customers to understand their needs and opinions, we developed an improvement plan to further meet their needs, building on existing practices.
After more than two months of practice, Zhongshi's lean production has achieved initial success. Next, Zhongshi will continue to promote lean production improvements, incorporating "lean production" from a concept into every aspect and every corner of Zhongshi's production management, and continue to provide high-value services to customers!
【Brief Introduction to Lean Production】
Precision means producing less but better, not investing in unnecessary production factors, but only producing the necessary quantity of products and services that are urgently needed by the market (or the products that are urgently needed by the next process) at the right time;
Benefit means that all production activities must be beneficial, effective and economically profitable.
1. Value:
First, we need to clearly and accurately define the value of our products, that is, to fully and maximally meet customer needs. Anything that does not meet customer needs is a non-value-added activity, that is, waste, which needs to be continuously reduced and avoided.
2. Value Stream:
After clearly defining our value, we need to connect all valuable processes. This includes: problem-solving tasks throughout the entire process, from conception, detailed design and engineering to production; information management tasks throughout the entire process, from order receipt to detailed schedule development to delivery; and material transformation tasks, from raw materials to final products and delivery to end customers.
3. Flow:
Secondly, we need to make all valuable and connected processes flow smoothly, completely eliminating the "waiting" and "inventory" processes; and adopt methods such as re-layout, streamlined planning, balance and synchronization to maximize the shortening of product cycles;
4. Pull:
Arrange production and services in full accordance with market and customer needs, produce only when needed, in the required quantity, and in the required quantity. Do not arrange production or provide services before clarifying market and customer needs. Implement JIT production model to achieve zero inventory and quickly respond to market changes.
5. Close to Perfection
Accurate product value defines and identifies each step of the specific product value stream, and then introduces flow, allowing end customers to pull value from its source and obtain products that are closer to their needs than ever before; at the same time, it will continuously reduce workload, time, space, cost and errors, and be more perfect.
